DBT/therapy yesterday. We’ve been in Emotion Regulation, adult pleasant events and building a life worth living. Homework has been scheduling daily pleasant events, with the intention of reducing a negative emotion. We also had to do a worksheet clarifying our values, choose one to work on and take small steps toward fulfilling that value.
This week we are working on reducing vulnerability, using the PLEASE, MASTER skills. These are skills such as treat physical illness, exercise, sleep, etc. My therapist wants me to read the book Courage To Heal and bring in pics of me when I was a kid. I’m also supposed to take steps toward getting a job, such as applying or taking a course to build skills for a job.
I’ve been obsessed with the Caylee Anthony case, watching Nancy Grace, visiting web forums…I wish Judge Judy was the judge in this case, Nancy Grace the prosecuter… I feel so bad for poor Natisha..can’t remember her last name. Nancy’s producer that has been in Florida reporting on the case. If she answers Nancy’s questions with answers that Nancy doesn’t like, Nancy jumps all over her.
And Octo-Mom. Wow. Humungous balloon animal lips thanks to collagen. 14 kids under the age of 7. Three of her kids are on disability to the tune of over $700 a month PER KID, she is on food stamps and disability for herself. She thought she would get a reality show, offers for books and movies…diaper company gifts…I’m so glad that so far, this hasn’t been the case. People seem to be quite disgusted with her as a matter of fact.
